Quesada — “50 Years Pressed into a Black Box”

A family with roots dating back to the 19th century; in 2024 they celebrated their 50th Anniversary with two vitolas (Perfecto 6×60 and Toro Pressed 6¼×56) using an Ecuador Habano blend, Nicaraguan binder, and DR+Peru filler.

Quesada Cigars

The Quesada family began in the tobacco trade in 19th-century Cuba as leaf brokers, handling some of the most valuable tobaccos on the market. After the 1960 exile, the family rebuilt in the Dominican Republic and founded MATASA (now Quesada Cigars) in 1974—a factory that would become a pillar of Dominican tobacco.

Manuel Quesada turned the company into a benchmark of consistency and technical excellence, creating brands like Quesada, Casa Magna, and Heisenberg, while also commemorating major anniversaries along the way. Now five generations deep, Quesada maintains an identity built on balance, attention to detail, and blends that evolve with every draw.
