The 2026 edition of the PROCIGAR Festival 2026 continued its activities at Puntacana Club with the celebration of PROCIGAR Night Punta Cana, an event focused on bringing together manufacturers, retailers, specialized media and premium consumers.

The event gathered representatives from the twelve PROCIGAR member companies within an environment designed for social interaction, premium cigar enjoyment and international networking connected to the Dominican tobacco industry.
Dominican Leaf attended the event as invited media as part of the festival’s official communications coverage.
Observed Development
The event took place inside the Puntacana Resort complex with attendance that felt near full capacity while still maintaining functional logistics and smooth circulation between cigar stations, beverage service and food areas.

Throughout the evening, visible manufacturer and company representation included:
- La Aurora
- Tabacalera Arturo Fuente
- Davidoff
- Quesada Cigars
- De Los Reyes Cigars
- La Flor Dominicana
- VegaFina
- General Cigar Dominicana
- Tabacalera Palma
- Casa Carrillo
- PDR Cigars
- Arnold André
Brand representation remained visually balanced throughout the venue, with no single company clearly dominating the event space.
Institutional presence included members of the PROCIGAR board, the director of INTABACO, Iván Hernández, as well as businessman Frank Rainieri, founder of Grupo Puntacana.
Highlights
One of the most consistent elements throughout the evening was the overall operational execution of the event. Coordination between hospitality, beverage service, food offerings and cigar distribution remained steady during the entire experience.

Although light rain at the beginning required quick adjustments to part of the entrance logistics, the organization responded rapidly and the event flow stabilized shortly afterward.
During coverage, Dominican Leaf had access to conduct on-camera interviews with representatives from multiple participating brands, who presented the cigars offered during the evening and discussed aspects related to their products and participation in PROCIGAR 2026.
From a smoking perspective, the experience included cigars such as:
- Casa Magna
- La Flor Dominicana Suave
- Buenavista by Arnold André
- La Aurora Preferidos
The predominant pairings observed throughout the evening included whisky and coffee, two categories that continue to maintain a consistent relationship within premium cigar events.
Editorial Observation
Remarks from Ciro Cascella, recently elected president of PROCIGAR, and Frank Rainieri became one of the defining moments of the evening.

During his participation, Rainieri publicly emphasized his preference for Dominican cigars even when receiving products from other countries, reinforcing the connection between the event, national tobacco identity and the international projection of the Dominican cigar industry.
The event also reflected a moment of expansion for the Dominican premium cigar sector, particularly in the integration of luxury tourism, hospitality and cigar-centered experiences.
Editorial Learning
PROCIGAR Night Punta Cana continues positioning itself as one of the most relevant social and networking gatherings within the Caribbean tobacco calendar.
Beyond the experiential component, the event demonstrated how the Dominican industry continues strengthening its international reach by integrating historic manufacturers, specialized media, premium consumers and institutional stakeholders within a shared environment.
